Confession

(Detail from Bernini's Ecstasy of St. Teresa. Photo credit here.)

I want to lick
the skin
of a toad

I want my eyes
to go
big and dark

until the light
is all there
is

and blind,
I'll weep

an ignorance
of bliss

Sounds pretty hallucinogenic to me!

This is one of your bolder poems. I love "and blind, I'll weep."

Charles, no mushrooms were taken in the making of this poem. :)

Steve, I am nothing if not (selectively) bold.

Smanks for commenting. I miss the old commenting days.

Wait what?

I choked up on my dinner as I read,

"I want to lick
the skin
of a toad"

Under confessions. I always knew you were a little weird in the head, but didn't see this coming. :D

I'm sure you got plenty a chance of doing it you dissecting days. (Sorry, tough memories them, right?)

Any way, whatcha talkin' 'bout "old commenting days". I never did quit, dammit!

Just writing another comment to subscribe to followup comments.

Jeez, it seems google has given up on improving the comment system.

I'm commenting again because Aniket commented twice and I don't like it when he beats me at stuff.

Ser Parrish, how could I possibly beat thee.

Boys. BOYS.

Fine. I'll just have to post another poem, then.

Aniket, "A little" weird in the head? I think I'm deeply offended. I don't know. Let me tweet something about it. Then I'll know for sure.

I thought you might have stopped commenting as a punishment for not writing "New" this year.

I'm sorry, okay? What can I say. I was busy licking toads.

(A little? Really?)

Ser Parrish: it's okay. You always have ping-pong.
