A strange thing
has me
in its hand.

I feel a palm
consider my shape

how its arm
adjusts to the weight

I watch its knuckles
reflexively stretch

hear the sound
of history's give.

Bone on bone—
the bubbles

until I'm naught
but skin
with teeth.

Well done.

I've been thinking about and learning history a lot lately. And I don't see how everybody else can't see history repeating itself over and over.

I think there's still this idea that our institutions are stronger than any one man. But we're already seeing what he's doing/done to them.

Thanks for coming by, Paul.

skin with teeth is a pretty intense image.

Thanks for saying so, Charles.

All we can do is move--not much else is required. Our state as individuals will soon oly be clarified with the collective stand taken.

It's going to be a hard slog, but what other choice do we have.
