New eyes unpack
a clever camouflage,
as with a shutter's wink,
solar-paneled legs
kick
like hasty lovers

And though we still have much to learn

Oh nice! And congratulations. May the love never end. ;o)

Thank you, Ruth!

I'm quite smitten...

Hey, I know that guy.

Nice capture, Sarah! They're hard to get on the lilly pad like that. Stumbling on the moment is 9/10 of the battle.

It's like he was waiting for me to come, Jason. :)

Already wanting a more powerful lens. Had to crop and enlarge this photo so that froggy didn't look like just another green blob.

Must. Resist. Amazon.

;)

I figured it was a crop. Froggy is right on the edge of losing resolution. But he's still nice an hoppable here.

As for wanting those lenses, I feel your pain....

As you know, I broke down in the recent past. Ouch.

Yes, I wanted to zoom in on froggy even more, but knew he'd completely lose his mojo if I did. ;)

Hmm...you're not exactly dissuading me here, Jason. May have to visit Amazon...

Just to look, of course.

:)

And in love you should be! :-)

Gorgeous frog prince...

Sorry I'm late to this... Jason didn't tell me that you had a new post!

Now I understand the reference to the frog photo in your email... ;)

I love seeing them on lilypads. Once in awhile I catch one in our pond.

Enjoy your new love!! Remember, take it slow. Don't jump in with blinders on if you want it to last... And stop comparing-- you'll appreciate what you have more. Ha! This metaphor is fun...
:)

Frog prince...of course! I didn't try to kiss him, Vesper. But maybe that's why he was waiting there. With a mug like that, how could I resist? ;)

Aine, this froggy was very stoic and willing to be watched--if from a distance.

As for taking it slow...I think I'm obligated to. With my lack of knowledge, there are simply too many barriers for complete rapture to take hold. ;)

Thanks for the encouragement! It's been fun so far. :)

Hey Sarah! Did you take that great shot?

You love cameras and I love houses, so there you go...

Thank you.
I am fond of frogs.

Very nice you got him on the lily pad. They have a tendency not to stay too long in one spot. Now, you'll be more adventurous for your next shot.
