Leaping from the lion’s mouth, we framed a boat from arms and legs, threw back our faces to spell the sun, and drank to the fall of   y t i v a r g
(there is no bottom to this mist, there is no rainbow end)
Thanks, Ello! I think rainbows are that strange revelation of the eternal and transient, in one brilliant stroke. I like embracing the contradiction. :)
Einstein love--yes, Jason. That Great Attractor can do incredible things with gravity. And if those stars collided...
Falling sensations are addictive, aren't they? I wonder why-- I don't think it should have evolved as a sensation associated with pleasure... Yet, it is. A conundrum of humanity.

Lovely! And a great photo too!
I love the parenthetical - no rainbow's end. I always think that a rainbow only ever has a middle.
The kind of gravity which only forms when space-time is warped by another. Einstein love.
Suddenly I'm thinking of binary stars. We see them as revolving around one another, but in reality, they are perpetually falling.

Agree with Aine, there is something about a falling sensation...
Lovely poem!!
I think there's a reckless defiance in choosing to fall. Surrendering caution. If we can suspend that notion of a hard landing.
You're right, Aine and Chris. It's too enticing to resist. :)
wow, i realy like this one!
No treasure then, other than the rainbow itself...
Beautiful...
Thank you, hotwire and Vesper! I love that this leap of faith spoke to you two.
