What a picture! The sky against the darkness against the motion.... Bravo. :)
It can be so liberating to be carried, to just feel, the tide of something huge and evolving. Like the turn of seasons and the mood of the living world.
This poem reminds me of how I feel when I find something new and totally immerse myself in the experience. It seems as though we leave one thing behind for awhile, to gravitate toward another and then back again to the familiar. The beautiful ebb and flow of life. Great pairing - photo to poem.
K., that's an excellent insight. I guess we slide to the tilt of the earth sometimes. While always hoping for deeper experiences, and stronger connections, to sustain us.
That's an awesome photo and I love love love your last line about colors and summer's fingers! I love that line! You need to keep these good ones to yourself so nobody steals them. Like me! Except that I'll botch it up. ;o)

Indeed.
And perfect.
Pete, I'm glad this piece gave you a lift. Thanks!
Charles, thank you. I love writing short poems. They feel like an intense, and complete, moment for me.
Jason, this photo is one of my favorites that I've taken, too. Thanks. :)
And you captured the mood I was going for--drifting and accepting, instead of struggling against some outside current.
Vesper, I'm glad you felt it, too. Thanks, my friend. :)
Very good.
I love the photo too.

Gorgeous colors!
I love just going with the flow.
Paul, thank you!
Aine, I like the feeling of not having to get anywhere. Of just enjoying the ride.
Thanks! :)

Thank you for the lovely words. :)
How did you DO that photo! It's beautiful. I would buy that if I saw it in the store. Or on your blog. {hint}
:-)
Thanks, Chris!! That really makes me feel good. It wasn't a hard shot to take--just the right circumstances presented themselves. :)
