Merry Christmas

A diamond day
kisses
the long skin
of night
with silent lips
of pear-shaped cut,
birthing the blood
of resurrection
in that most
sacred stone,
the human heart

------

Merry Christmas and
Happy Holidays, everyone!
Hug your loved ones tight,
and your kids (if you got 'em)
tighter.  I hope the warmth of
the season embraces you all.

You are my metaphor queen Ms. Sarah, what a gorgeous poem, and what a shiny and beautiful stone come to life thing you have there within. Thank you and all your inspirations for sharing that gift with us. Have a lovely and wonderful Christmas Sarah.

You use words like a sculpter uses a chisel on stone to bring out the beauty. Very nice!

Hope it became all you desired for us in your own home Sarah, and ten fold more to the one who blessed than them that received the blessing.

Reading "if you've got them" made me think. Am I the only one here who falls in that category. *sigh*

Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and your loved ones too!

I am having the time of my life for the past two weeks. Bro. gifted me a Joker t-shirt and a Joker coffee mug. He had that look of Calvin's dad: Whatever makes him happy! :D

Thank you for your incandescent spirit, the glow in your words.
May your year be filled with reflections of light, laughter and friendship and may love be born in every new moment.

My dear cohort of pen and pain, pleasure and sorrow. I just stopped by on my way through to say "have a good today not tomorrow."

Gabrielle, I'm sorry I'm so late in responding to your beautiful words. They put a glow in my heart. Thank you so much, and all the best for the new year.

Mark, a good today is all we need. Thanks so much for that reminder.

Joaquin, for you and yours, too. :)
