2.

I dropped pebbles
from my pocket

with the hope
of being found.

With an eye towards
building roads,

with the ambition
of the blind.

Failing to note--
they were seeds, all along.

I'd rather you build a forest anyway, we have enough roads for the blind to drive on.

This is a simply awesome piece of brevity that stuns Karen.

laughingwolf, thank you. :)

Brian, thanks for dropping by. I appreciate your very kind words here.

Mark, I've missed this. Thank you, my friend.

Charles, yes. And too often overlooked.

Missed that I changed your name Sarah? Name the forest Karen.

Hey, if you're going to confuse me with THE Karen, then you won't find me complaining.

Actually, this does remind a lot of Karen. She write nature poetry so well.

She'd be proud. :)

I know I say it all the time, but this seriously is freakin' brilliant. I think genuine acts of kindness are like that. One doesn't realize the good consequences on others when you're doing them.

Keep planting seeds!

I think the key is planting the seeds that make you happy, instead of trying to build false cities. Because carefree happiness is fertile and contagious.

Thanks, my friend. And I totally agree about Karen. She's the freakin' brilliant one.
