I.    If the wind is a woman,
      then flurries are memory's
      molecular dance
      and chaos is narrative.


II.  The moment before
      you're fully awake
      and the pieces of the jigsaw
      haven't snapped into place:

      You could be anyone.


III.  My daughter rests her head
       against my breast:
       my right hand slides
       across her heart.

       One. Two. Three.
