Blue Fog

My blue friend,
we meet again

You, a scarf
of fog
and mist

Me, the shadow
of a broken
cloud

And where

we catch,
raindrops run

down a
river's neck,

like the breath

before

the softest

kiss

We see some beautiful herons here.

An interesting piece Sarah but then you know my love for love poetry goes of in tangentially different directions.

Thinking about the difference between poetry and fiction, I don't see much difference, both tell an audience something that hopefully entertains them but still both are full of solitary pursuits.

All I can infer from the poem is that when you think of a frog, you think about kissing one. Commonly known as the latent princess complex. That's so not made up!

You seem to have come a long way dissecting to kissing. Good girl, Heena.

Charles, I always keep an eye out. They always give me a lift.

Mark, it's true that both are solitary. For me, I guess, poetry feels like a revealing. Whereas your work feels more directed outward. You're penetrating in that direction.

When I switch to writing prose, I'm both myself and not. But when I'm writing poetry, I'm never so much myself.

Aniket, where are you getting frogs? Did I mention frogs? Or do you just naturally think of frogs whenever you think of me?

I think I'm deeply offended.

Well, this is embarrassing.

I'd just woken up while I was reading this. With the poor net connection, the image didn't load. I read the title as "Blue Frog", instead of "Blue Fog". I guess, I did so subconsciously, because of a very popular restaurant "Blue Frog" where we went last week.

You have to admit, you, throwing the softest of kisses to a Blue Frog makes up for a whole lot more interesting story.

I think I should write one. It'll be perfect for 9-12 yr olds. :)

Now I want to meet this Blue Frog.

You're forgiven. That story is more interesting than the poem.

(There are blue frogs. They're poisonous. Work that in somehow. The poor guy. Can't get any kisses.)

Okay. I did.

I left out the poison though. Sorry. :)
